Too Sweet Giveaway

I have been so overdue with a post over here. Keeping up with cleaning, kids, remodeling, etc makes for one busy momma. To make up for it I'm going to giveaway this cute child's apron!

I love this cute fabric. Perfect for your little girl when she helps you bake those cupcakes that you volunteered to make. The pattern says it's size 3- 6yrs but I'm thinking it's more like 4-7yrs. But my kids are small anyways and it's big on them and they are 3 and 5. Not to mention they are boys and would never be caught dead in this feminine print.

The apron has Velcro fasteners at the neck and the waist that you can adjust to fit your young lady. And it is lined with a complimentary striped pattern on the other side. The length is 19" and the width is 14" at it's widest.

To enter to win just tell me your favorite summer time meal!  I'm always looking for different ways to change things up. We all get stuck in a rut ever once in a while. For extra entries:
  • Subscribe to my feed
  • Follow me on Twitter
  • Get your kids in the kitchen tonight and let them help you with dinner
  • Follow me on Google Friend Connect
  • Like me on Facebook
This giveaway is open to all and will end on May 14th!

The Ultimate Blog Party is Here!!!

Ultimate Blog Party 2010

Hello there! Welcome to my corner of the blogosphere! My name is Tiffanie and I own Dogwood Lane Designs. You may know me as Tiff from Three Peas in a Pod. My goal here is to provide you with updates from my shop, tutorials, and even introduce you to other talented business owners. There are giveaways here so I would love it if you would visit often.

Dogwood Lane Designs started back in September as a means to support my never ending fabric hoarding habit. My husband loves me but there's only so much of his paycheck he can spare for all those lovelies that I need want.  He suggested that I sell what I make. So I did. That's my story.

I make gifts that are practical and stylish. Do you ever get gifts that you either don't use or just sits collecting dust in the back of your closet? I know I do which is why every thing in my shop is "useable"and unique.

Come back this week because I will be holding another giveaway that you won't want to miss.
And thanks for stopping by and Can't wait to get to know you!

I did it!

I did it and I'm proud of myself! I made a dress! I don't sew clothing. Never have  but I decided to take the plunge and try it. This dress is for my 18 month old niece for Easter. I used Simplicity pattern 2668 and decided on dress C only I did this one without the bow and trim at the bottom.

I tried to do the bow but for some reason it just wasn't turning out like I wanted and it was crunch time. So I opted to chuck it. I also had a TON of help via twitter from Mindy of Minash Designs. Thank you so much Mindy for all your help. If I hadn't of gotten help on this I may have given up. She kept me right on track and put up with my endless pictures and questions.

My sister in law will be taking some uber cute pictures of Little Miss O in her pretty dress this week some time. Once she gets over the annoying morning sickness. Ugh! I feel for her . . . Seriously I do!

Hope you all had a fabulous Easter with your families!

It's Picnic Time!!!

Spring is finally here! And that means lots of time outside. Playtime at the park, outdoor parties, picnics, camping trips. I can hardly wait to go outside each day. Can you?

With eating outside comes bugs, dirt, and sometimes other nasty things we can't identify. Rather than taking a HUGE cumbersome table cloth to cover your table try one of these!

Take Along Place Mats come in a set of four. And has a pocket for your silverware*. You can roll it up and tie it closed for easy packing.  Or Place your silverware in them tie them up and place them in a basket for your guest to use at your next cook out. Once used you just put them in the wash and they are ready for your next picnic or party!

When your at a restaurant, you never really know if the table is clean and sometimes they don't have place mats. Takes these along and use them for your little ones and you will feel good about putting cheerios, goldfish, etc. on these for them to snack on before the meal. And you know exactly how you cleaned them before letting your little one eat off them.

If you don't like this particular fabric just contact me. I'd love to make some just the way you want them. This is the only set I have in the shop at the moment because most people have ordered custom ones. Please allow a week for me to get the fabric you want (if I don't have it) and make them for you if you special order them. They are the same price either way.

*Silverware not included

Bronte Along ~ Come Join Us!!!

One of my favorite books is Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte! I read it in high school and have always had a copy around my house. Granted with having kids I haven't had a copy of it since my daughter smeared yogurt on it when she was two. It was not salvageable.

Have you seen the movie? To die for. Seriously. You have to watch it. Makes you just want to swoon! Melissa at Yummygoods has started a fun project called Bronte Along. We will be celebrating the work of the Bronte sisters.

For the moment we are gushing over the book/movie of Jane Eyre. Won't you join us in exploring this masterpiece with us? Read the book, watch the movie, make something that is  Jane Eyre inspired. What ever it is post about it and link up here. Melissa has the movie linked to her post so go on over and visit her and check out the movie. You will be so glad you did!
